Historyo:p> Diversity in Environmental
Careers Organization, (DECO) will be established as a non-profit
educational organization and operate as a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt
non-profit corporation. Environmentalists, educators and business
developers from the Los Angeles area established Environmental Careers
Group, now DECO. Roderic
Buck, who felt the need to have information and assistance for individuals
job hunting and seeking funds in the environmental field, founded it in
1996. DECO provides advice and
information to jobseekers, teachers, career advisors, working professional
and general public through personal contacts, bulletins, e-mail, seminars
and workshops. DECO specializes in
recruiting, educating, and job placement of inner city, low- income and
/or minority groups. We also, will provide services to minority
individuals in rural neighborhoods and to entrepreneurs to help them
establish themselves in the environmental market. DECO 's primary focus will be on job trends that will continue to expand. According to the Environmental Business Journal and other resources, -Brownfield assessments and redevelopment will be an area of major growth potential .We provide a presence and accountability in the community and ensure Diversity in Environmental issues. . |
